Support Pluto Q
There are many ways that you can support Pluto Q. You can volunteer your time and energy in our Community Reading Room or assist us remotely behind the scenes with things like social media and admin – we are committed to ensuring that volunteering with us is a valuable, supportive, and rewarding experience, and are always looking for both regular and ad-hoc support. The events, classes and services we provide in the Reading Room are free, except for those put on by external partners, but we welcome financial contributions from those who are in a position to support us.
We have created the following guidance to help you decide what amount might be suitable, the standard rate indicates the average contribution that would allow us to exist sustainably without reliance on external funding:

Friends of Pluto Q
The simplest single way that you can support us is to sign up to our Friends of Pluto Q mailing list. The more people know about us and what we’re doing, the better we can serve our community!
When you sign up to the Friends of Pluto Q mailing list, there is an option to send a one-off or recurring donation.
You may choose to pay nothing – There is no difference in subscriber benefits or communications based on the amount you donate. We value all our supporters equally regardless of capital means or contribution.
As a Friend of Pluto Q, you will receive:
- The Friends of Pluto Q Newsletter – every 3 months
- Occasional emails relating to our specific events or projects
- Invitations to exclusive Friends of Pluto Q events
- An annual gift each Spring of something we have produced or published n the past year.
We will only ever share your information with anyone when required to by law.
We will never share your information with other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes.
